This backpack is unique since it was made from a Hupil. The Huipils are handmade using backstrap looms and it takes months to complete one. The backpack is made with soft leather and it's light with two front pockets that secure with magnetic buttons and adjustable straps, combined with beautiful vintage Huipil. Huipil backpacks are handmade and therefore no two bags are alike. Huipil backpacks are made from recycled Huipils, the traditional blouse for Maya women. Each individual village will have their own Huipil style and so each backpack reflects the particular village it comes from. Traveling through Guatemala In search of special Huipils and finding the right one for the design will add that uniqueness to your handbag, not two will be alike!
